XTweetSave.com is an independent web project founded by a group of open-source enthusiasts and developer professionals. Our goal is simple: to build the cleanest, fastest, and most reliable media downloader for Twitter/X. We wanted to create an alternative to traditional downloading websites that are bloated with pop-ups, redirects, and trackers.
By leveraging lightweight backend scripts and standard web standards, we deliver direct download links directly from Twitter's CDN servers. Our tool requires no account registration, no browser extension installations, and absolutely no fees.

How It Works Under the Hood
When you input a tweet link, our backend processes the unique status ID. Rather than scraping the web page, which is fragile and slow, our script calculates an embed validation token. It then queries a public syndication endpoint to fetch the tweet metadata in JSON format. The media details array is parsed in memory, and the video resolution variants or original image directories are rendered on your screen. No data is stored on our servers.
